San José del Cabo Art Walk Now Taking Place Year-Round

The popular San José del Cabo Art Walk will now take place year-round instead of just seasonally. The popular event takes place every Thursday evening from 5-8pm in the historical gallery district of downtown San José del Cabo. The main street, Obregon, is closed to vehicle traffic and galleries stay open late for visitors to enjoy the art as well as the local drinks and dining scene. Sea of Cortez Pueblos Mágicos Festival

This weekend, August 5-6, Todos Santos will be home to a festival celebrating the pueblos mágicos (magic towns) along the Sea of Cortez in the Mexican states of Baja California Sur, Baja California, Sonora, Sinaloa, and Nayarit. The free festival runs from 5:30pm to 10pm each night. The festival will feature cultural and artistic programs, information about all of the Sea of Cortez pueblos mágicos, and food and drinkes. The pueblos mágicos on the peninsula are Tecate, Loreto, Todos Santos, and the newly-designated Santa Rosalía.

Sierra de la Giganta to be Protected

Mexico’s president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, announced that he will be protecting Baja California Sur’s Sierra de la Giganta and Sierra de Guadalupe mountain ranges and surrounding beaches. The reserve will make the region a protected natural area and keep it from being privatized. The area encompasses over 2 million acres.

Corazón de Vida San Diego Gala

Corazón de Vida will host their Hollywood’s Golden Age gala in San Diego on Saturday, November 11 at the US Grant hotel. The evening will support orphaned children in Baja.
