New Binational Beer Supports College Women in Tijuana

The Dos Californias Brewsters, a binational group of women brewers from San Diego and Baja recently released an English porter style beer. Proceeds from the beer sales will go toward a fund to support college women in Tijuana. The beer is currently available at the Tijuana-based breweries Lúdica and Mexica. New “Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico” Food Series

From the same producers as the popular “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy,” comes a new CNN series, “Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico.” The six-part series began airing in March and will follow the actress around different states of mainland Mexico as she explores how Mexico’s rich culture, landscape, and history have helped shape its cuisine. You can watch the series on Sundays or on the CNN apps and you can catch the trailer here.

Festival de la Conchas y el Vino Nuevo

The 23rd Festival de las Conchas y el Vino Nuevo (Shellfish & New Wine Festival) will take place on Sunday, April 23rd at Hotel Coral & Marina in Ensenada. This is one of Northern Baja’s beloved foodie events where local chefs turn out scrumptious shellfish dishes, and local wineries serve new vintages of wines. Tickets are MN$1,200 and can be purchased on the Provino website.
