The dates have been announced for Valle de Guadalupe’s 32nd Fiestas de la Vendimia. The wine harvest festival will take place from July 30th to August 21st. More details and dates about specific events to follow.

New “Taste of the Border” TV Show

San Diego chef and TV personality Claudia Sandoval has a new TV show, “Taste of the Border,” that highlights food from both side of the U.S./Mexico border. The four-episode series features Tijuana in episode 1 and Mexicali in episode 2. You can stream the show on Discovery+.

New Children’s Cookbook by Chef Marcela Valladolid

San Diego/Tijuana chef Marcela Valladolid published a new bilingual children’s cookbook called “Cocinando on Cook Street.” With delightful illustrations, the cookbook leads readers through the magic and legacy of Valladolid’s family recipes. “Masa Presents” New Short Film Series

Heirloom corn and masa company, Masienda, has a new series of short documentary films called “Masa Presents” featuring the minds and makers of masa. You can watch the trailer and first episode on YouTube and follow along on their blog for new episodes.

Tijuana International Craft Beer Festival

A new international beer festival will be held on June 11-12 this year in Tijuana at the Caliente Stadium. The festival will include 60 breweries from Mexico and the U.S. along with food, music and transportation for Americans parking in the U.S. and crossing the border. Valle de Guadalupe’s Viñedos en Flor Event

The Fiesta de los Viñedos en Flor will take place on Saturday, June 11th in Valle de Guadalupe. The family-friendly wine tasting event will be at winery Monte Xanic from 12pm-7pm and proceeds will benefit Rancho de los Niños orphanage.
