As a part of Provino’s Festival de las Conchas y el Vino Nuevo (see below), a special culinary event will be taking on place on April 30th at UABC in Ensenada. 15 of the region’s top chefs each paired with a Valle de Guadalupe winemaker for a special four course meal with wine pairing. The only downside is having to choose which one of the incredible chef/winemaker meals to attend! Tickets are $2,900 pesos and can be purchased on the Provino website.

Tickets for Festival de las Conchas y el Vino Nuevo

Tickets are available for Provino’s Festival de las Conchas y el Vino Nuevo which will take place on Sunday, May 1 at the Hotel Coral & Marina in Ensenada. Over 80 local wineries will be pouring wines and the best chefs of the region will be preparing fresh shellfish like oysters, mussels, abalone, and clams. Tickets are available for $1,200 pesos through the Provino website.

Winemaker Series at Valle Oceanside

Baja Chef Roberto Alcocer’s new Valle Oceanside restaurant at the Hyatt in Oceanside, CA, is hosting a Valle de Guadalupe Winemaker series. Winemakers will be present for coursed wine pairings with food prepared by Chef Alcocer. Previous winemakers included Kristin Magnussen Shute of Lechuza Winery and Lulu Martinez of Bruma Winery.
