Using NADA to Accurately Value Your Vehicle

When assessing the value of your vehicle for Mexican auto insurance, please use the NADA website to correctly calculate the value. In the case of an accident or theft, your Mexican auto insurance will reimburse based on mid-level NADA value.

No More RV Camping at Estero Beach Resort

Estero Beach Resort in Ensenada has closed their RV camping area. The hotel remains open as usual, but they are no longer offering motorhome camping.

Toll Road Price Increase

The toll for the toll road in northern Baja from Tijuana to Ensenada has increased. New prices are currently $35 mn pesos (US$2) for the Playas de Tijuana and Rosarito toll stations and $37 mn pesos for the El Sauzal/Ensenada toll station. Remember that unless you have a Mexican-issued credit card, you must pay the tolls in cash and you cannot mix currencies.

 

Carnaval La Paz 2018

Carnaval in La Paz

La Paz is home to the largest carnaval celebration on the peninsula. The festival includes multiple days of family-friendly activities, costumes, floats, and parades along the malecón. The 2018 La Paz Carnaval celebrations will run from February 8-13 this year.

 

 

ACE Mexican Auto Insurance Changing Name to CHUBB

As of January 2018, ACE Seguros has changed their name to CHUBB Seguros. If you currently have Mexican auto insurance coverage with ACE, you do not need to do anything. The coverage you have with ACE will remain the same and the phone numbers on your policy will still work. Insurance coverage and prices have remained the same, just the name has changed.
